Thanks to Sholto (KE7HPV)
I am now able to put a name behind the mode I
added to the site in late
December as "unidentified ALM system, using a combination of
10.5 Bd 8-FSK and 125Bd
8-FSK". According to Sholto, it is the ARQ-FAE
mode in the 8-FSK version included in MultiPSK. The 15-tone sequence
preceding each burst, is a Reed Solomon identifier, enabling the other
party to tune in exactly to the transmit frequency and additionally automatically
select the correct mode parameters. Thanks agn OM!
